Visit to Washington D.C.

We arrived at our hotel around noon on Fri so we decided to walk over the Key Bridge into Georgetown and have lunch.  The kids loved the walk over the bridge and after lunch we went to the park.

They played near the fountain

and had a great time feeding the ducks at the edge of the Potomac

Norah LOVED this statue and I had to drag her away...

She kept saying we couldn't leave yet because she had to finish her book!

Philip and his family met us back at the hotel and we made our first trek into DC on the Metro and the kids loved the train!

rolling her way down the hill toward the WWII Memorial

No visit to the WWII Memorial would be complete without a pink, fuzzy tiara

Each of these 4,000 stars represents 100 service men lost

Mom, can we go back to the train now???

After we left here we hopped back on the train and had dinner with Philip and his family.

Saturday morning we made our second trek into DC to visit the museums... but first they had to smell the flower...

Outside the Museum of Natural History waiting for it to open

TITANOBOA!!!!  Alex was SO EXCITED!!!!

The Live Butterfly Pavilion was really awesome!

waiting patiently for something to land on a finger...

DINOSAURS!!!!!

Norah enjoyed the duck until she stole her cookie and bit her finger... thankfully it was nothing another cookie couldn't fix!

Air & Space Museum

After a quick tour of the museum we walked up to a restaurant and met Cousin Michael for a drink and then went back to the hotel for a relaxing night.

Sunday was Mother's Day and we met Philip and his family at the train for our third trek into the city and headed to the National Zoo!
