Weekend with Evan!

We went to another kids show and this one was all about snakes, frogs, toads, salamanders, and turtles. Alex was bored to death during the first part, but then decided to go sit up front with the kids... except he didn't sit at all and was ignoring the teacher and mesmerized by everything she had on the table behind her. I was in the back holding Norah and laughing at him because she kept asking him to sit down but he kept popping up to look again.

Oh, Oh it's Magic!

We went to an animal magic show on Sunday afternoon and it was really fun. The magician brought lots of animals to show the kids. He had a huge pig, a chinchilla, a tortoise, a lizard, a dove, 2 hedgehogs, and a rabbit...all of which Alex refused to pet. After the show we walked down to see the herring run in the park because the weather was so nice.

Alex loved the balloon animal he got at the show and decided he was brave enough to poke the bunny in the rear before we left.

Saturday Morning Seals

Center Hill beach is one of my favorite spots near us because we can usually see lots of seals hanging out on the rocks at low tide. There were about 8 in front of us and another 8 or 10 down the beach that Sam, Alex, and Grampa found on their walk. The seals were also very vocal so that was pretty entertaining as well.
