Chugga Chugga Choo Choo!!!!!

Gramma and Grampa stayed with us for a few days after Christmas and on their last night we all took Alex to Edaville Railroad! He was so excited to see the trains and the lights and the rides! The rides were a little scary but we did go on one little train ride called..... AJ's Express! How perfect! It was a tight squeeze for Mama, but we made it. We got to climb around inside a real train engine car and then we got on a real train and went for a ride around the park and saw all the beautiful lights. It was a lot of fun and we all had a great time. Afterwards, we went out to dinner and we had lots of fun!

Merry Christmas!

Santa came!!!!!! We had our very first Christmas in our new house and it was wonderful. Alex doesn't quite understand Santa yet, but was very happy to see new toys. We were in Maine over the weekend to do Christmas with the Kelsey clan and to celebrate Gram's 90th birthday - wow! We were home for Christmas Eve and morning and then we headed to RI to see the Jablonski clan. We visited friends yesterday on our way back home and when we got home Gramma and Grampa came down from Maine and were waiting for us! We hope all of you had a wonderful and safe Christmas!

Tractor!

Alex loves to play with Ben's tractor and it usually ends up in our yard - thank goodness we have very nice neighbors!

Leaves!!!!!!!

Alex loves to play in the leaves! He was helping Daddy rake up the backyard and was enjoying a ride in the wheel barrow.

COOKIES!!!!!

On Sunday when it was snowy and rainy and yuck outside, we made lots of Christmas cookies!!!!! Alex enjoys eating flour.

Oh Christmas Tree....

Alex loves the tree and the ornaments and thinks it is wonderful to be underneath it. He is also very fascinated by my laptop from work so Daddy was showing him a thing or 2.

Pat a Cake, Pat a Cake, Baker's Man!

Whenever I start to make something, Alex pulls the chair right over and wants to get in on the action. This time it was cornbread and he was having a blast. He's a very good helper and taste tester!

SNOW!!!!!!

Alex had a wonderful time playing in the snow when we had that big storm last week. I picked him up early from daycare and we came home and hopped right in the snow suit. He wasn't too sure about the neighbor's sled at first, but then he saw me pull Lilly in it and thought he'd give it a try. Lilly wanted to show him how to make a snow angel, but I don't think he quite understood that strange ritual. We ended up with about 9 inches from that storm and then we had another storm Sunday morning which dropped another few inches, then we had rain. Daddy did a great job shoveling the driveway so there was no ice afterwards - thanks Daddy!

Fun Project!

Alex had a great time making this gingerbread (graham cracker) house at daycare. Kim said she just put the blobs of icing on it and Alex added everything himself! He's so creative! Then, when we got home, he realized they were M&Ms and thought he'd better have a taste...and I thought I'd better get a picture of it before he ate the whole thing!

Our First Christmas Tree

On Sunday, we decorated our very first Christmas tree! In the 12 years Sam and I have been together, this is the first tree we have ever gotten since we now have a house to put it in. It was very exciting! We didn't have a star for the top so Sam made one and it is perfect! Alex loved looking at all the ornaments and had more fun taking them off the tree than putting them on. He also thought the box of ornament hooks was just the best and played with that for a while until they were all over the couch and the floor.

Xmas Wreath

Alex was a very good helper when I was trying to make a wreath for our front door. He loved to sit in the middle of it and pick all the berries off my winterberry sprigs. We finished it and it looks wonderful on our front door and smells even better!
