We had a great weekend at home. We went out to dinner with friends, tried out Grew's Pond and had fun in the water, and Alex learned how to play the piano!

He loves his jumpster and he was having so much fun he just got tuckered out and decided to take a snooze!

Alex also loves to play with Claude, my stuffed manatee. These 2 characters have strikingly similar features!

Alex has also started eating "real" food! He tried rice cereal, which was a great start and we practiced that for a few weeks, but decided to move on to bigger and better foods like.... prunes!
His face doesn't show it, but he loves it and he's getting so good with eating with the spoon - note that I have to hold his hands down or we'd both be wearing a lot more of it.

We also took Alex to the beach for the first time. He was very tired and scared of the water, but hopefully the next time we can play in the water without crying. He loves to play in the bathtub, but was a bit intimidated by the big, blue ocean.

Alex has had a very exciting last few weeks! His 2 bottom teeth have poked through AND he learned to roll over! This happened on the weekend when his Grandma and Grandpa came down from Maine for a visit so we had a lot of fun!

Alex even has a brand new cousin! Evan Cael Thompson was born 6-24-06 and apparently his Uncle Sam told him something very funny to make him smile!

And my how he has grown! He is now 5 months and 18 lbs.!!!!!!

Alex was born 2-10-06 and we took him home from the hospital in a blizzard!
