We laid Smokey to rest today. Sam and I decided to do it before the kids got home from school. He picked a nice spot in the backyard near the rhody - Smokey loved to sit on the deck and look out over the yard so it was perfect. We told Alex first when he got home and then I met Norah at the bus stop to tell her on our walk back to the house. I thought it would be a nice idea to go to the beach and collect some rocks to put on the grave. After we placed them on the grave we went for ice cream and we had some nice family time.
We will miss our Smokeshow-Bubby-Big Boy so much! |
