We went to the beach in the morning and Daddy found a dead fish that Alex thought was the most wonderful thing in the world and carried it everywhere. It was wonderful until it started to fall apart and was a bit stinky so, as you can imagine, he was totally miserable when it was "lost". Thankfully his cousins showed up to play with him and distract him. After the beach we got ready for the big clambake! They got all the food on, covered it with paper, covered it with seaweed, and fired it up to cook. In about an hour we had a great feast with great family and friends. Alex even got a present from Aunt Steph - a little stuffed sea otter that he loves to snuggle! We had a fantastic vacation and even though we did a lot of things, we still found time to relax and enjoy the wonderful Maine experience.
