Imagination Island

Today was a rainy day so we decided to try out an indoor playground called Imagination Island. The first thing we saw when we walked in was a train table full of Thomas and Friends and Alex pretty much played with that for the first 30 minutes. Then he got a little adventurous and decided to branch out and see what else was going on - he had a blast! There were cars and bubbles and slides and blocks and a tunnel... he made it about and hour and a half and then he put his head down on a mat and said he was sleepy. So that was our clue to head home for lunch. He fell asleep in the car on the way home and never did take a nap, but we had a great day!

We made it!

So I'm officially 20 weeks in and halfway through my pregnancy - whew! For the record, my belly is much bigger this time than it was with Alex. This isn't the most flattering picture, but we were at Imagination Island, an indoor playground, surrounded by a bunch of screaming kids running around so I wasn't at my best!

Mass Destruction....

So as you can see, we have a bit of a squirrel issue. I threw a rock at him today and lucky for him I have lousy aim.... but I'm practicing! By the way, we threw that first cushion away from the earlier pictures - these are the second and third that were attacked.

Caught in the act....

These are just a couple pictures Alex wanted to take of himself because he thinks the camera is the coolest! Today we had a visit from an unwelcome character who decided to rip open our cruddy cushion for her nest. There is no shortage of squirrels in our yard and they are becoming a little too comfortable for our liking. We were getting new cushions anyway so it's not too tragic - our only hope is that this doesn't happen with the new ones too!

A first look...

In conjunction with all the other excitment on Friday, Sam and I went to our big ultrasound appointment and got our first look at the new peanut. He/she looks perfect! We told the radiologist that we didn't want to know the sex, so it's still a surprise to us all!

A little excitement....

On Wednesday afternoon we had the ultimate pleasure of experiencing a water main break which resulted in no water pressure and a pond in our front yard. The town came and shut off our water so we went without for about 24 hours and then we got hooked up to the neighbor and it was wonderful. Dig Safe came on Thursday and the plumber came on Friday and replaced the pipe so by 4pm Friday we were back in business and better than ever. Alex was having a wonderful time watching them dig up the yard and also has enjoyed playing in the giant pile of sand leftover. I took some before/after pictures and they actually ended up in the middle of the line up, but you can figure it out. It was impressive to watch and they did a great job so all in all it wasn't as terrible as it seemed initially, but then again, most things never are!

Trains!!!!!

Grandma came to visit and brought Alex a new Thomas train set! He LOVES it and can't get enough of it. Thanks Grandma!!!!!
