Captain Alex

Alex loved to play in Grammy and Grampy's boat! It is hunting season so we had to make sure that we were always wearing something orange while we were outside.

Rockin' Out!

We went to Maine to visit Gramma and Grampa for the holiday and they had so many fun things to play with!

Alex vs. Coffee Table

Alex had a little accident on the Monday night before Thanksgiving. He tripped on the rug and did a flying leap and met the table with his head. Not good, but nothing a little glue and a lot of screaming couldn't fix at the doctor's office. He was fine in about 5 minutes, but Mommy took about 4 days to stop crying about it... and she almost passed out at the doctor's office when it was all over. He's happy and healthy and if he has a little scar from it he'll have a good story to tell when he's older!

Rainy Day

We had a rainy day a while back and so we did some chores inside. Alex helped me with the laundry and then had a wonderful time playing with the drying rack.

Our little carpenter...

Alex just can't get enough of Daddy's tools down in the basement. He loves to stand the drills up by color and then lay them down again. He really knows how to use them and can change the bits and everything - amazing child. Carpentry certainly runs in the Kelsey genes! I tried to tell Alex that Daddy probably doesn't want him to drill the concrete walkway. The first picture is just such a cute one of him with his blanket and cup of cereal watching Word World yesterday morning. He's too fun!

Window is finished!

Alex was a good helper and we managed to get the new window all repaired and the trim put on. It even got a coat of primer last night. Gramma was a big help too!

Grandmothers to the rescue!

Daddy was at a conference for 5 days last week so both grandmothers came to help out and it was wonderful! Mimi was here for the beginning of the week and then she had double duty to watch Evan for the end of the week. Then, Gramma came and spent the end of the week and also got to stay and watch Alex's last swim lesson. He got a ribbon for finishing his class! Thank you both for all your help!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!

Mimi got to take part in the craziness that was Halloween last night because she was watching Alex yesterday while he was home sick with a fever and a cough. He was in very good spirits for not feeling well and he was loving all the Halloween decorations and lights around people's houses. It took a little bit of tempting with M&M's, but we eventually got him into his costume. Thank you to Gramma and Grampa for sending Alex the wonderful puppy costume! He's been sleeping with it like a stuffed animal ever since it arrived in the mail. He loved that everyone was knocking on our door last night and he got to see tons of kids and was so excited! He kept saying Trick or Treat every time anyone came to our door and it was so cute! We went through 3 huge bags of candy and we shut our door by 8:45 with about 6 pieces left in the bowl so that was good. We made it!

Jayson's Wedding!

My cousin Jayson got married on October 20th and we all flew down to Houston to celebrate with them. It was a beautiful ceremony and the day could not have been more perfect! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me so I stole these from my sister just so I'd have something to post. The first picture is me with the sister of the groom (Siriann) and my 2 sisters (Lisa and Joel) and the other one is of me and my younger sister Lisa. We were all looking pretty hot! I was kid and husband free all weekend, so I had an especially wonderful time, although I did miss them terribly.

When Grampa was here, Alex wanted him to read to him all the time! We must have read Silly Sally 25 times. Then it was on to The Mouse, The Red, Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear.
This was Daddy's attempt to eat breakfast by himself, but Alex just loves Daddy to share his cereal... and anything else we try and eat!

Where's Alex?

Alex found a new hiding spot. This is the only cabinet he's allowed in because he likes to play with all the tupperware.

Baby Zoe Arrives!

Lauren gave birth to a healthy baby girl on October 8th! Her name is Zoe Kay, 7lbs 5oz, 18 inches, and she's beautiful. Stella is very excited to have a new baby sister. They are all doing great and I was very lucky to visit them on Friday night. Congratulations!!!!!!

Weekend fun!

Alex's Gramma and Grampa came down from ME on Saturday to help us watch Alex this week. Daddy and Grampa put in a new window so Gramma and I took Alex to the zoo! This was Alex's first trip to the zoo and he loved it! We went to Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford and he loved all the animals plus they had all the Halloween decorations up and he loves pumpkins. We got to take a ride around the zoo on a little train and we rode in the red caboose. When we were waiting for our train ride there was this really nice bear statue that Alex decided liked to eat sand and acorns. Since the real black bears were sleeping and we couldn't see them very well, this was much better. We also saw another bear statue on the way out but this one wasn't as exciting as the first one. After the zoo, we called to check on the status of the window operation and we were told to take our time. So, we decided to go to Onset and have lunch and play on the beach. We had a wonderful time and shortly after we got home, we had a new window! What do you think?
