On the weekend Marcus and Katie came to visit, Alex discovered he liked being under the ultra saucer instead of in it. He also found out that Marcus is tall enough to make a wonderful recliner!

Alex had fun visiting Auntie Lisa's new house where we discovered he is a double super hero. He swims through the water and flies through the air!

Today is my last day with the USGS because I have accepted a job at a consulting firm in Quincy. Yesterday, my wonderful friends were nice enough to have a lunch in my honor and it was perfect! Here's Bob and Sue looking as cute as ever and Chris and Matt flirting with each other.

Uncle Brian came over last night and Alex has so much fun!

He's discovered his tongue and it's hilarious. He sticks it out all the time.

Naked Baby! I got a frisbee in one of my goody bags from a race I ran and Alex loves it. He was making really funny faces while eating his yogurt. What a clown!

Alex uses his jumpster as a swing and he thinks it is the greatest thing ever. He also loves to be on the couch!

Alex had a wonderful weekend with Grammy and Grampy!

Alex's new trick is that he LOVES to stand up by himself! Maybe he'll skip the crawling and go straight to walking. Right now he's slithering around on his belly like a snake, but he can definitely get to anything on the floor so we had to start baby proofing.

On Sunday, we finally got our pumpkins and Alex tried to eat his. I love this weather!

Emily and Dreux came with us to the Cranberry Festival on Saturday and it was a gorgeous day! We got to see them harvest the cranberries which was pretty interesting.

Alex graduated to the big tub and he loves it!

Alex discovered last week that when his head gets a little too heavy to hold up, Daddy can make a great pillow.

Our friends Andrew and Cheryl are on vacation in Falmouth this week for their anniversary and they were very excited to finally meet the little man last night!

Our college friend, Shiloh, was visiting RI and she got to meet Alex on Sunday. It was so fun to see her and meet her husband. We haven't been together since 1998 so it was a very fun reunion!

Alex found a new friend named Eyore!

We also got to see Alex's Uncle Brad and Cousin Evan - he's getting so big!!!

We had lots of fun over the weekend. We dropped Alex off to play with Grammy and the Aunties while Sam and I enjoyed Cirque du Soleil in Boston - so fun! Someone got ahold of my camera and when I downloaded pictures, I found some very cute ones! This is Alex having a great time with Auntie Joel and another one of Alex enjoying some sweet potatoes in his new chair.

Sam went to Maine earlier this week, and he came back with a little present for Alex - his very own orange vest so we can take him outside during hunting season! Also just wanted to show off his fun Halloween onesie - stay tuned for pics of his Halloween costume that his Grammy got him!

I threw a "Mom" reunion on Saturday with my dearest friends from grade school and it was so much fun! We had kids of all ages all over the house and yard. It was a beautiful day and so wonderful to see everyone. Here's the 4 of us with our kids: Lauren with daughter Stella, Sara with son Nathaniel, me with Alex, and Sara with her younger daughter Savannah. Alex and Savannah are only 3 weeks apart, but I think he's twice the size!
