Fun with the Cousins!

On Sunday we went to Mimi's to spend some time with our cousins who are visiting from Houston, TX. It was a rainy day so unfortunately we got stuck inside for most of the day, but we had a great time. On Monday, Alex and I gave the cousins a tour of Plymouth. We went to lunch, saw the Mayflower II, saw Plymouth Rock, walked around town, got ice cream, then we went to Alex's favorite playground and had a blast! Alex didn't get a nap but he fell asleep in the car on the way home and when he woke up he wanted to play in the canoe that was full of water from the storm the other day.

Saturday

Alex had fun playing in his tent and tunnel outside with the neighbors on Sat morning while we were waiting for Mimi to arrive. She watched Alex while we went to Ellen and Stephen's wedding. The wedding was in Woods Hole and the reception was at Bourne Farm and it was really fun. The farm was gorgeous and they had the perfect day. We had a wonderful time with friends and unfortunately I didnt' get to chat much with Ellen because there were a lot of people there, but she looked gorgeous and she was the happiest I've ever seen her. Congratulations!

Fun in the Storm

During the big storm the other day, we lost power for about an hour and half due to some serious rain, thunder, and lightening. I did manage to get dinner made before we lost power so we were able to eat, but then we got creative because Alex wanted to watch Thomas but we had no power. So he and Daddy made a pillow fort and then when the storm passed, Alex joined the neighbors outside to splash in the puddles!

31 weeks

While I was dressed up for yet another wedding, we took my 31 week picture. Actually, Marcus took the picture and went for the silhouette. I added the 31 week picture from last time for comparison.

Congratulations Emily & Chris!

Chris and Emily were married in Hartford, CT yesterday and it was a wonderful night! We had tons of fun, the food was great, the music was great, the weather was hot but beautiful, and all our friends were together again so it was perfect! Alex had a blast dancing with Meghan except he got a little jealous when Marcus wanted to dance with her. Congratulations and we love you guys!

Cushion Madness!

Since the squirrels have been nice enough to leave this set of cushions alone, Alex loves to play with them. Tonight he was fighting sleep but enjoyed laying on the cushion and looking up at the sky. Then I showed him how he could make a tent and he thought that was awesome!!! He wanted me to get in the tent too, but I told him I didn't think I could fit and that the trains needed it more than I did ;)

Fire Engine!

When Alex got tired of helping Daddy shingle, he decided to bring out his fire engine that Mimi gave him for Christmas. He rode it all over the deck and then decided he needed me to bring it out to the street where he had more room.
