Fun with Cousin!!!!

We always have the best time with Auntie Joel and Cousin Evan! Alex and Evan had a great time playing together on Nina and Poppa's deck in Narragansett - they were both wearing hoodies and looked so cute. We also had a great time when they all came over for a cookout and my favorite picture is the one where it looks like Alex is sneaking up behind Evan to hit him over the head with a wrench. The boys had fun at Mimi's house too - Alex loves the giant stuffed Eeyore and always has fun in the tubby especially if his cousin is with him - note the strategically placed cups...

Sara just sent these to me and I thought they were so cute I just had to add them to the blog! I'm so glad she got a great one of Stella on the swing! All the kids sure did have fun together - with only a little crying mixed in!

New Deck!

While Alex and Mommy were in RI having fun, Daddy stayed home and finished the lower deck. It looks beautiful! It is 75% recycled wood (amazing how wonderful the boards look when you flip them over). Thanks Daddy, great job! The old wood was very worn, cracked, and splintery - you can see how it looked in the picture showing a bit of the stair railing heading down to it - so this is much better. Maybe in the spring we can work on the upper deck???

Splash!

We had a great weekend seeing friends. We got together with Sara and her daughters Shelby and Savanah, and also Lauren and her daughter Stella. We all went to a wonderful playground and then grabbed lunch and went back to Lauren's to eat and play in the yard. Alex and Savanah had a great time splashing in the pool together! Alex also decided the water table made a pretty good pool too so he got in it. He also was very excited when Lauren got a shovel out to dig up some flowers for Sara to take home. Alex decided to help Lauren out because he knows she is very pregnant and wanted to assist with the heavy shovel. Very helpful little man!

Sweet Ride!

Success! I had to play musical cars yesterday, but I was able to drive the new car home. It's a 2006 Ford Focus wagon and it's pretty fun! Funky color too. Alex keeps saying "new car" so I think he likes it. His new car seat arrived yesterday as well so he was very excited to play in the box and sit in his car seat on the living room floor. He wasn't, however, thrilled about the thunder storm, but we made it through.

Sunday fun!

Cousin Evan came over to play yesterday afternoon and we had a lot of fun! We ate raisins, played with toys out on the deck, and Alex even showed Evan how to use Daddy's drill - cool! Cousin Evan has the same hat too!

Bye Bye Chevy

Sam and Alex are ok, but the Cavalier is no more. They were hit on Tuesday morning and it was very scary, but thankfully they are ok - just a few bruises. So, now we get to look for that new car we've been talking about! Could have been a lot worse, but thankfully my family is safe. Drive safe, pay attention, and ALWAYS wear your seatbelt!!!!!!!!!!!

Auntie Lisa's Birthday!

We went to Lisa and Teddy's to celebrate her birthday. We had great food and we got to swim in their pool! We had all sorts of fun with Alex's Aunts, Uncles, Mimi, and cousin Evan! Afterwards, Uncle Teddy was showing the boys how to use the laptop and they were both very interested in this new gadget. Happy Birthday!
